At Long Last
Cousin Henry's high chair was a little imposing for her, but she held her own just fine.

Giraffe love
Lili has a thing for giraffes, I guess. Poor Giraffee was vying for Lili's attention but our heroine couldn't take her eyes off of G jr., who for some reason hangs out on the side of Lili's swing 24/7/365.
Lili's been battling reflux recently. Don't worry, her parents took much less than four days to come to her aid. We're hoping a new medicine (Erythromycin - we're looking for the intended side effect of increased GI muscle movement) takes care of it.
Updating Lili's favorite pastimes: Smiling at baby bee, licking stuff, being all cute, staring at Kalik's stripes, rolling over, etc...
Lili and family are praying for the safety of all the people stranded by Katrina and all those trying to help them.

10 weeks already?
She's doing so well. She is the sweetest baby on earth (we have no bias whatsoever and do not engage in hyperbole). She smiles and coos and squeaks and grunts. She is very responsive, and will copy mommy's happy face or surprised playful gasp. Her acid reflux, which was a battle earlier, is getting under control with a few medicines (Zantac and Prevacid, both in sweet baby-friendly forms) and thickened breast milk (using Simply Thick, a xanthan gum-based thickener that we order from St. Louis). Xanthan gum is a great ingredient for gluten-free baking; I never thought we would use it to make honey-consistency breast milk...
No pics this time, just wanted to give y'all an update on stuff. The home inspection went pretty well; he gave us a few things to follow up on in the next few days, boiler, chimney...but no huge problems.
Lili has the best extended family and friends in the world. She wanted to thank you all (if you're reading this, that means you) for everything you've done for her.

Back to the past
We can all tell from this photo that Lili adores her mommy, and vice versa.

Her first weeks
Lili took a strong interest in hip-hop around two weeks old. (Not really) Here she practices some poses she saw on MTV. This picture was taken not too long after her first real bath, since her umbilical cord stump fell off the day before.
Lili met her Aunt Kathy in Philadelphia and took a trip to Williamsport to meet her Uncle Stuart and Aunt Melanie the weekend of her two week birthday. The camera timer worked, and got a nice picture of Lili, her mom and dad, Grandma Marian and Aunt Kathy and the cover of 'Be Prepared', the only reason daddy has half a clue how to be a daddy. (The other half he copies off Lili's mom)

Lilienna's first days
We'll start with a few photos from Lili's first few hours. She was presenting face first (she wanted to see what all the fuss was about) so Sara had a C-Section. Lili got a little bruised from the labor, but that went down quickly.
She had a little jaundice after a day or so, earning her a trip to the fine tanning salon in the nursery for about twenty-four hours. Her bilirubin levels were better, but they wanted to keep her wrapped in the Wallabee blanket to make sure her levels stayed low.
